YOU: The Inspector
With the implementation of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA’s) Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) program, commercial motor vehicle roadside inspections are more important than ever before.
CSA evaluates the safety of individual motor carriers by considering all safety based roadside inspection violations, not just out-of-service violations, as well as state-reported crashes, using 24 months of performance data.
Now that all roadside inspection violations are factored into a carrier’s safety rating, drivers, technicians and safety and maintenance supervisors all need to take a hands-on approach to fleet safety.
This expanded 6-hour training will not only cover roadside inspection violations, it will challenge attendees to recognize them with practical, hands-on instruction during the training. By taking on the role of the inspector, attendees won’t just think they understand violations, they will be certain they do. Participants will know exactly how their vehicles will fare during a roadside inspection. Topics Also covered will be driver inspections and vehicle annual periodic inspections.
A certificate of participation and pocket-sized version of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations are included.
Lunch will be provided.
