Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) representatives will provide an overview of 49 CFR Part 396, but more specifically focus on recordkeeping and what shop managers should be prepared for during an audit.
OSHA topics including, but not limited to chemical hazard communication, chemical storage, electrical hazards, Emergency Action Plans, exits/egress and pathways, fire extinguishers & fire prevention, fueling areas, hand & power tools, jacks/lifts/slings, lock out/tag out, machine guarding, overhead/gantry cranes, permit required confined space, PPE, and welding & compressed gas storage will also be discussed.
NEWLY ADDED! Representatives from NYSDMV’s Safety/Tech Services will discuss NYS repair shop and inspection requirements and responsibilities.
