Joe Long, Old World Industries
Joe Long is a member of the Technical Maintenance Council for the ATA (American Trucking Association) and was recognized in 2011 as a Recognized Associate (one of the highest awards offered to one of their members). He has worked with Detroit, CAT and Cummins, International, Volvo and Mack and all the OEMs for resolutions to many cooling system problems. Through the years, he has authored articles for Transport Topics and the Fleet Maintenance Magazine and has helped write Technical Service Bulletins (TSB’s) for many major fleets across the US. Joe has also helped write coolant bid specifications for many cities, DOT’s and municipalities to be sure that a quality coolant is delivered by the winner of such awards.
Joe has researched and studied many diesel fuel issues in the field from ‘black fuel’, Asphaltene, short fuel filter life and manual regeneration issues and trains in the use of Diesel Exhaust Fluid during his presentations / educational sessions.
