Safety Maintenance Management Council

The New York State Motor Truck Association Safety Maintenance Management Council develops, promotes and organizes all phases of safety and maintenance activities for the association and serves as a resource to the association by providing training and education to the membership.  Comprising safety and maintenance personnel employed by NYSMTA members, the council works toward developing standards and best practices for the industry. 

In addition to cornerstone events including SuperTech, the Truck Driving Championships, and seminars and training opportunities throughout the year, the council offers recognition programs for members. The Fleet Safety, Golden Wrench and Driver of the Year Awards are given once a year and recognize those members who have demonstrated safety and maintenance practices far exceeding established standards.
